Masters of Public Administration
The Masters of Public Administration Program is a professional degree program that integrates theory and real world practice of public administration to prepare you for work in the public or nonprofit sectors. Students enter the program from a wide variety of undergraduate majors and backgrounds. we welcome potential students of all ages and backgrounds to apply--many of our current students are working professionals themselves.
This highly marketable degree produces leaders who have the skills and passion to become effective administrators in the public sector. Despite the economy's ups and downs, demand remains high for skilled and trained public administration professionals. Full-time students usually complete their 36 semester hours for the MPA program in 18-24 months.
Program Requirements
Students applying to the MPA program must meet both the requirements for admission to the university as a graduate student and the admission criteria for the program. Students must submit transcripts of all academic work previously completed, scores from the Graduate Record Examination (GRE), and three letters of recommendation.
