ETSU's business school is not only regionally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), but is also accredited by the
premier business school accrediting agency, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International. Less than
5% of business schools world wide meet the rigorous standards of the AACSB International. In addition, our programs are nationally ranked by Princeton Review and Business
Week. In fact, in the 2009 Edition: The Best 296 Business Schools, the Princeton Review
ranked ETSU's business programs fourth in the nation in "Best Classroom Experience" and fifth in the nation in "Most Family Friendly."
The Accelerated MBA (AMBA) is a program that allows working professionals to earn an accredited MBA in 12 months. The courses and faculty
are the same as a traditional MBA, but classes meet online and in-person in Johnson City, Tennessee. It is designed for those with at least three years of
professional experience who desire a rapid-paced, alternative delivery of MBA courses.
Classes meet every third weekend:
- Friday night (6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.),
- Saturday morning (8:00 a.m. – noon), and
- Saturday afternoon (1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.).
Each of the four weekend sessions will be divided between the three courses. The program is divided into four terms of twelve weeks each. In each of the terms an AMBA student will take three courses. In total, a student will attend four weekends in each term.
