Dr. Leia Blevins

Dr. Leia Blevins holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Administration, Master's and Bachelors' degrees in special education, a teaching license in special education and elementary education, an administrative endorsement, and is a former special education classroom teacher. For the last 12 years, Dr. Blevins has been the ETSU's PBSI Project coordinator, Project Manager, and currently Associate Director, responsible for much of the implementation of the in-service training, team training, behavior consultation and school-wide positive behavior support activities.  Dr. Blevins has extensive experience in functional assessment and intervention, positivebehavior support, and behavioral consultation.

As Associate Director, Dr. Blevins' scope of activities is now expanded.  She is in charge of the development and implementation of positive behavior interventions and supports, inclusion, in-service workshop training and follow up consultation as well as the implementation of project evaluation activities.  She assists the co-investigator, Dr. Hale, in the development of the academic assessment and intervention modules and activities. Dr. Blevins also supervises the Project Coordinators and Graduate Assistants in their daily implementation of project activities, exercises daily management of the project budget, and assists the Director with project dissemination activities.
