Dr. Leia Blevins
ETSU PBSI Project
Dr. Leia Blevins holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Administration, Master’s and Bachelors’ degrees in special education, a teaching license in special education and elementary education from East Tennessee State University (ETSU). She has an administrative endorsement and is a former special education classroom teacher. For the last 14 years, Dr. Blevins has been the ETSU’s PBSI Project coordinator, Project Manager, and currently Associate Director, responsible for much of the implementation of the in-service training, team training, behavior consultation and school-wide positive behavior support activities. Dr. Blevins has extensive experience in functional assessment and interventions, three-tiered positive behavior support and behavioral consultation.
As Associate Director, she is in charge of the development and implementation of three-tiered positive behavior interventions and supports, inclusion, in-service workshop training and follow up consultation for 14 school districts in upper Northeast Tennessee.
