Management. Assessment.
Movement.
Careers in human services involve
counseling and teaching in a wide variety of settings
where people are assisted with transitions and
difficulties in various life circumstances. Job
descriptions typically include counselors, case
managers, behavior specialists, group leaders, and
mental health technicians, to name a few, and work in
treatment facilities, community agencies, in home
counseling, foster care, and institutional settings.
Human service workers are major change agents that
assess, plan, and implement programs for helping
others gain solutions to personal, family,
professional, and community problems.
