EOC Make-up Mandatory - End of Course Exams Mandatorythis exam counts as 25% of their second semester grade so make-up is mandatory

ALL  9th, 10th and 11th grade students are REQUIRED to take the TCAP Writing exam.  Every student in every grade level 3-11 is required to take this exam.  This exam is NOT tied to English classes—it is a SCHOOLWIDE exam and SCHOOLWIDE score so every student must be tested.  Taking dual enrollment courses or taking English in a different grade level from enrollment does NOT exempt a student from this exam.  Please be aware that this exam is coming up!

Thanks!

EXPLORE Testing for 8th Graders

The EXPLORE is a mandatory exam required by the state and is administered free-of-charge.  The EXPLORE offers both a vocational assessment and a predictor score for the PLAN (pre-ACT college admissions exam).  Results will help students to make future academic choices to keep them on track for college admission.

Tentative date:  10/19 EXPLORE for 8th grade 9:00-1:00

PLAN Testing for Sophomores

The PLAN (pre-ACT) will be taken by all Sophomores.  The PLAN is a mandatory exam required by the state and is administered free-of-charge.  The PLAN gives predictor scores for the ACT, as well as excellent study information for obtaining the best possible score on the ACT.  Also, see information below about taking an optional PSAT.

Tentative date:  10/20 PLAN for 10th grade 8:00-1:00

ACT/PSAT Testing for Juniors

The State of Tennessee will again be providing a state ACT testing date when Juniors may take it free of charge.

The PSAT (pre-SAT) is recommended for Juniors as excellent practice for the SAT.  The PSAT must also be taken in the Junior year in order to qualify as a National Merit Scholar.  Although the PSAT is recommended for Juniors, registration is open to other grade levels as well.  The PSAT will provide a predictor score for the SAT as well as study information.  The cost for this exam is $17 (checks payable to University School only).  Students must register with Ms. Robinson and pay for the exam at the time of registration.
