About this Conference:

This activity will provide training on Screening Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT), an evidence-based physician intervention method used to assess and refer patients who are at risk of or engaged in substance abuse.

Target Audience:
Physicians practicing in the areas of internal medicine, family medicine, OB/GYN, pediatrics, advanced practice nurses, physician assistants, nurses, medical students, and nursing students.
Overall Conference Objectives:

As a result of attending this activity, the participant will be able to:

• Understand the disease process of addiction
• Recognize the risk factors and causes of Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome
• Understand the process of SBIRT
Implement a screening tool and provide a brief intervention

Registration is required. Participation and lunch are free to all who attend, however for those seeking CME credit, there will be a $30 registration fee.
