Raymond Feierabend, MD, FAAFP, Professor and Director of Graduate Medical Education

Dr. Feierabend is a native of Louisiana. He received his BA degree from Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts, and his MD degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed a three-year residency program in Family Practice at Moses H. Cone Memorial in Greensboro, North Carolina, and established a rural National Health Service Corps practice in Dungannon, Virginia, where he spent four years prior to coming to Bristol in 1982. Dr. Feierabend is board-certified by the American Board of Family Practice, is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, and a member of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine.  His wife Margaret comes from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and is a former mayor and member of the Bristol Tennessee City Council. They have three children, Karl, Neal and Kristin. When it comes to hobbies and other interests, Dr. Feierabend enjoys camping, hiking, and fishing.
