Allison Schafer, DO
I grew up in North Carolina and attended Mars Hill College graduating with a degree in Biology. I was also fortunate enough to be a member of the women’s basketball team during my four years at The Hill. From here I attended Edward College of Osteopathic Medicine in Virginia for my medical training. In 2013 I graduated from VCOM and started my Family Medicine residency in Knoxville at The University of Tennessee. After completing residency I made a big move to the University of Connecticut for an additional fellowship year in Sports Medicine. I have particular interests in Sports Medicine and ultrasound guided procedures along with Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine.
Now that I have completed my training I am very happy to be moving back to the mountains of Tennessee with my fiancé and our two dogs. In my free time I enjoy exercising, playing basketball, cooking and exploring new breweries.
