I was born in a small town in southern Kentucky. I love small towns and hope to live and practice in a small town in the future.
I attended medical school at the University of Kentucky. After graduating, I spent a year in Toledo, Ohio doing an internship. I started active duty service in the Air Force after my internship. This led to moving to San Antonio, Texas where I lived for four years prior to moving to East Tennessee. I trained in anesthesia in the Air Force, but found that I sincerely missed patient interaction. I always felt that my true calling was to be a family doctor.
I very much enjoy families. I am very blessed to have been married for nearly ten years to a wonderful woman, Lauren. We have four children. Mitchell is five years old. Baylor and Lawson are twins and are two. Seven months ago, we were blessed with our fourth child, Hadley Gray.
Nearly all of my free time is spent with my family. We enjoy camping, fishing, and hiking. We watch lots of movies as well as many, many cartoons. We are also very involved in church and enjoy spending time with our church family as well.
I am very much looking forward to family medicine, especially getting to know my patients. I am blessed to be at ETSU.
