Swetha Diwakar Maddala

I was born and raised in 'Tirupati,' a small town in the southern belt of India. With an intent to study medicine and a passion to help others, I attended the medical school at Sri Venkateswara Medical College in Tirupati. I choose to pursue a challenging and rewarding career in family medicine because I believe in continuity care for my patients and the opportunity to build strong doctor-patient relationships. The first thing that attracted me to this program was the dedicated and friendly faculty. The program provides me with high quality training and exposure to a wide spectrum of patients. My clinical interests are in women's and children's health issues, while my research interests are in patient care in the communities and public health. I love spending time with my family and friends. I believe that Johnson City is a peaceful and quiet small town and a great place to raise a family.
