The small class size, location and scenery, and the
rural track option appealed greatly to me. Also, I knew from
my interview that I would be well taught and well taken care
of as a student here.
Being a Quillen Student
I like my classmates because we're a very social,
active group of students. Also, the interaction with
professors is incredible both during and outside of class.
And I really love being in the mountains because it truly is
beautiful in East Tennessee.
Life Outside the Classroom
I really enjoy spending time with friends and family
when I have free time. Also, I like to play ultimate frisbee
with the other med students and cheer on the intramural
teams. I also really enjoy reading and try to find time to
fit that in daily. And, I make time for church and a Bible
study each week.
Living In Northeast Tennessee
I grew up in the area and am already quite familiar
with this part of the state. Johnson City isn't too
small, but it isn't overwhelming either. It is scenic and
close to so many great outdoor activities. Most of all, I
