The Center for Public Health Practice and Policy (CPHPP) was established in response to the growing workforce needs of our state, regionally, and nationally.  Established in 2014, CPHPP brings together faculty and staff expertise from the Office of Public Health Practice, the Tennessee Institute for Public Health, Tennessee Public Health Training Center-LIFEPATH, Academic Health Departments, and other faculty interested in public health systems and services research. The CPHPP will serve as the infrastructure to better respond to needs of the public health workforce, establish collaborations with policy and practice communities, align and disseminate research and enhance the capacity of the college for community involvement and services.

Mission:

Expand and strengthen regional capacity for public health workforce training, research, quality, and policy development.
