Objectives
- Promote cross-linguistic understanding of communication disabilities in children through academic coursework and clinical practica;
- Advance work with families from an ecological model of child development;
- Cultivate cultural competence to understand social and cultural influences on service delivery;
- Develop research projects involving research syntheses and investigations that examine the social and cultural impact of communication disabilities within the ICF-CF framework;
- Improve communication between US and Brazil faculty and students to support sustainability of research collaborations.
