The Office of Financial Aid at ETSU provides a broad spectrum of programs to assist students in financing their college education. The university is committed to providing access to students through a variety of resources that includes scholarships, grants, loans, and work-study programs. Please keep in mind that you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each school year, using the required, accurate taxed and untaxed income information,  as soon as possible after January 1, in order to apply for any federal assistance.

Counselors are available to assist students with any questions or concerns regarding their eligibility. Contact Us!  In an effort to adhere to federal privacy laws, the ETSU Office of Financial Aid restricts the release of certain private student information.   Students must contact us personally to check the status of their financial aid application and awards.  Often, we will be unable to release information to third parties (i.e., parents, spouses, etc.) without a signed release form on file from the student. To obtain a Release of Information form, the student must visit our office in person and present a photo ID.

If you have a financial aid Unsatisfactory Academic Progress hold and you are not in good standing, check your grades to make sure all were reported. If there is a problem with one of your grades, please contact the instructor.

If all grades have been turned in, you may still have a financial aid Unsatisfactory Academic Progress hold because of a late low grade.
