Office of Financial Aid

Division of Student Affairs

To determine financial aid eligibility (including Pell eligibility) for the upcoming summer, students must complete the current year  FAFSA (June 30 application deadline) and the summer aid application.

The summer semester is the last semester of the academic year at ETSU.

For example, if you want to enroll in Summer of 2030, you must complete the FAFSA for the year 2029-2030 (deadline June 30, 2030).

Students are also required to complete the Summer Aid Application. You cannot receive summer aid without completing this form. It is essential that both the FAFSA and the Summer Aid Request Form be completed in a timely fashion to prevent delays in receiving summer aid.

If you are unable to access the Summer Aid Request Form online, please contact us for assistance.

Due to the fiscal year-end processing, all student requirements for certain types of funds, such as Perkins Loan and SEOG, MUST be completed by the second Friday in June, and Lottery Scholarship eligibility must be evaluated and awarded to the student by June 1 or it will not be awarded for the award year.  Such funds will be canceled without possibility of reinstatement if requirements are not completed in time.  It is the student's responsibility to check their Financial Aid Status on GoldLink for any unsatisfied requirements.  Be sure to frequently check your ETSU email and your Financial Aid Info Tab in GoldLink.

*Summer Term is considered the end of every school year here at ETSU.  If you plan on attending summer school, please seek counseling from the Office of Financial Aid as soon as possible.  There are limits to all grants, loans, and scholarships.
