ETSU has implemented a new electronic job posting site, eJobs at ETSU, effective October 1, 2009.
All ETSU applicants for employment must complete an official ETSU application at https://jobs.etsu.edu/.
Applicants for temporary and adjunct positions must go to https://jobs.etsu.edu/ and click "Create Application", complete the appropriate electronic employment application, print the application, and send the paper application to the hiring department.

Typing Tests/Pre-employment Testing
The Office of Human Resources discontinued mandatory typing tests for all clerical positions on October 1, 2008. However, individual ETSU departments may administer pre-employment tests, with prior approval from the Office of Human Resources. Departments will also adequately and properly notify all applicants of any pre-employment testing requirements. For more information, please see the Typing Tests/Pre-employment Testing web page.
Misrepresentation of Academic Credentials
T.C.A Sec. 49-7-133
It is a Class A misdemeanor to misrepresent academic credentials. A person commits the offense of misrepresentation of academic credentials who, knowing that the statement is false and with the intent to secure employment at or admission to an institution of higher education in Tennessee, represents, orally or in writing that such person:
(1) Has successfully completed the required course work for and has been awarded one (1) or more degrees or diplomas from an accredited institution of higher education;
(2) Has successfully completed the required course work for and has been awarded one (1) or more degrees or diplomas from a particular institution of higher education; or
(3) Has successfully completed the required course work for and has been awarded one (1) or more degrees or diplomas in a particular field or specialty from an accredited institution of higher education.
ETSU Security Information
East Tennessee State University makes available to prospective employees the ETSU Security Information Report. The report is published annually and includes the following information:
campus policy regarding the reporting of criminal activity
campus policy concerning facility safety and access
campus policy concerning law enforcement
information regarding safety and crime prevention programs
campus policy regarding the sale, possession and use of alcohol and illegal drugs
information regarding drug and alcohol education programs
campus policy regarding sexual assault programs to prevent sex offenses and procedures to follow when sex offenses occur
description of procedures for preparing annual disclosure of crime statistics
campus policy allowing disclosure of crimes on a voluntary, confidential basis
campus policy concerning crimes disclosed to a pastoral or mental health counselor
campus policy concerning the recording of student criminal activity at off-campus locations
timely warning procedure (campus crime alerts)
crime statistics for the three most recent calendar years
