Usual schedule: Refreshments and gathering 4:00, Business meeting 4:30; Program(s) 5:00 - 6:00.

All meetings this year are on a Tuesday afternoon. For meetings held at an elementary or secondary school, watch for signs on campus directing you where to meet. For college meetings, we will have building and room number information in the newsletter and on this web page when available.

  • Middle and High School:  Fractals and Cancer – Could The Cure Be In Mathematics?
  • Elementary School: Teaching Math Using Your SmartBoard
    Are you a teacher with a SmartBoard, but not enough time to build your own lessons from scratch? Learn how to make your SmartBoard work for you. This workshop will help teachers in elementary grades use the SmartBoard to teach a variety of math concepts by combining best practices and technology. This in-service is not designed to teach specific SmartBoard skills, but rather how to teach math using a SmartBoard.

Tennessee Math Teachers Association (TMTA)

Annual conferences of TMTA are usually the third Friday and Saturday of September. The 2010 conference will be held at Southwest Tennessee Community College in Memphis.

NCTM logo

National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM)

NCTM has one national and several regional conferences a year. One regional NCTM conference was in Nashville November 19-20, 2009.
