SUMMER PROGRAM (PRE-RESEARCH INTERNSHIP)
The
summer pre-research internship is open to eligible undergraduate
students from any accredited college campus; with priority given to
local/regional students.
The
McNair Internship experience will provide ample opportunity for you to
develop skills normally associated with students in advanced degree
programs.
At the end of the experience you will be prepared to enter the
research setting with confidence and face the challenge of getting into
graduate school and earning your Ph.D.

$2,300 stipend payable to you in increments throughout your summer
internship.

Seminars that will assist with technical writing, research
statistics, and technology skill development.

Graduate Record Exam (GRE) preparation course and materials.
-
Paid educational opportunities, including professional conferences
and graduate school visits.

Use of the McNair Scholar Resource Room/Computer Lab
-
Receipt of various materials that will provide resources for your
graduate school search and application.

The opportunity to network with individuals from across the country
and beyond.

Paid housing for the duration of the summer experience.

ACADEMIC
YEAR PROGRAM (RESEARCH INTENSIVE INTERNSHIP)
REQUIREMENTS:

You must be a local/regional student

You must have successfully completed a pre-research summer program

You must receive an invitation to return for a second internship
-
You are not obligated to participate in both internships
The Academic Year Program will allow you to apply the newly
attained knowledge from your summer experience.
This
experience will give you the rare opportunity:
