The museum offers many programs for kids to attend!

Summer Camp
at the museum is a week-long paleo experience for kids from Pre-K through 8th grade. Campers learn about one of their favorite subjects- fossils!- by digging on a real fossil site, going behind the scenes in the lab, making fossil casts, and more! Summer Camp is a unique opportunity for activity-rich science in our region (and it's a lot of fun!). The Summer Camp 2013 Application Forms can be found here. Boy Scouts
can get their Geology Merit Badge with a focus in Natural History in a few hours at the site. Scouts will do hands-on activities, dig on the site, and learn about the geologic history of the region. Cub Scouts
(Webelos) can get their Belt Loop and Pin in Geology with many hands-on activities including digging on the fossil site spoil piles. More information about the Belt Loop and Pin requirements that are addressed during the program can be found here.

Girl Scouts
love our annual winter program- Winter Wonderland –a great program full of fun science activities related to the cold! We are developing new programs to correlate with the new Girl Scout Journeys- check back soon for more details.

Patch Programs- Any child can attend one of the museum Patch Programs we offer! During a Patch Program, kids visit our latest exhibit, do hands-on activities, and get their own souvenir patch. These activities allow little scientists to explore exhibit concepts through unique experiments and experiences.
