JOHNSON CITY (August 14, 2013) — East Tennessee State University’s George L. Carter Railroad Museum is holding a railroad photo contest throughout the summer, concluding with a juried selection of the best photo in September.
Photos must show an operable steam locomotive photographed after 1970. The deadline for entries is Sept. 15.
The contest is open to the public, and contest rules, along with application forms, may be picked up at the museum any Saturday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., or downloaded at www.memrr.org. The Carter Railroad Museum is located on the ETSU campus in the Campus Center Building at 100 Ross Drive.
