Holly Adams Memorial Scholarship Endowment
In memory of a 1987 graduate. Applicants must be
rising juniors majoring in art and design and must have a minimum 2.8 GPA.

Ruth Gilmer Corpening Adams Scholarship
This scholarship supports sophomores majoring in art and design.
Applicants must be rising sophomores. Apply to Chair, Department of Art and Design.
Joy Faye Fox Memorial Scholarship Endowment
Awarded to Art majors that are entering freshmen, graduates of
University High School, and have a minimum 2.8 cumulative GPA. Apply to Chair,
Department of Art and Design.
Margaret and Ruth Hays Art Scholarship Endowment
In memory of a former faculty member of the Department of Art and her sister,
this scholarship is open to students entering the university as first-time freshmen.
Application portfolios are evaluated during early April. Applications should be made to
the Chair, Department of Art and Design.
Lynn Elizabeth Whitehead Ceramics Scholarship
In memory of a former faculty member of the Department of Art and Design, this scholarship
is open to juniors and seniors who are BFA majors. Applicants must pay a research visit to the B. Carroll
Reece Museum prior to application and review Lynn Whitehead's artist's statement, philosophy and work.
Applicants must then submit 3 pieces of their artwork and the completed original application plus four copies.
One piece from the scholarship recipient's submissions will be selected by the committee for the permanent
collection of the museum. Application deadline is November 1. Awards will be announced on December 1.
