Amerace Corporation Scholarship
Two awards for employees of the Microporous Products Division of Amerace Corp. or dependents or immediate relatives of employees. Recipients must be full-time students and maintain at least a 2.0 GPA. Application deadline is July 1. Scholarship applications are available from Amerace and should be submitted to the University Scholarship Committee.
Berkline Corporation Scholarship
For children of current employees of the Berkline Corporation. If there are no applicants from children of the Berkline Corporation, other qualified applicants from Morristown and Hamblen County will be considered in the order listed above.
Christina Clarke
Awarded to full-time, undergraduate students who are residents of Unicoi County, Tennessee.
Applicants must have a minimum gpa of 2.8 and demonstrate the ability and the commitment toward
completing and graduating with an undergraduate degree.
Earl B. Bolling Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to incoming freshmen who are graduates of a high school located in Elizabethton
or Carter County, Tennessee. A minimum 3.5 GPA or a 25 ACT is required. Documented financial need is
required. Application must include a letter of recommendation from student’s high school principal.
James E. Broach Scholarship
For employees of the Bosch Company or their eligible dependents. Must be a full-time undergraduate student.
Barbara Murphy Brooks Women’s Studies Scholarship
Awarded to full-time or part-time students with a declared major or minor in Women’s
Studies. Applications are due by March 1 and should be submitted to Women’s Studies Program, 519 Warf

The George S. Brown Memorial Scholarship
For full-time students who are Carter County, Tennessee, high school graduates with a minimum GPA of 2.5 and documented financial need.
Challenge 2000 Scholarship
Awarded to entering freshmen exhibiting evidence of scholastic success, and achievement in extracurricular experiences. Applicants must have a minimum score of 29 on the ACT or 1280 on the SAT.
Citicorp Credit Services Leadership Scholarship
Awarded in recognition of a student's demonstrated leadership potential. For currently enrolled students who have earned at least 12 credit hours with a 3.0 or higher GPA. Applicants must have at least one academic year remaining as an undergraduate. Applications are available through the Center for Community Engagement, Learning and Leadership.
Tommy Deakins Scholarship
Awarded to students with demonstrated financial need and a minimum 2.5 high school or college cumulative GPA. First priority is given to graduates of Sullivan North High School. Residents of Holston Methodist Home at the time of high school graduation have second priority.
Dr. Burgin E. and Nell Jennings Dossett Scholarship
Awarded to students with demonstrated financial need or a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. Preference will be given to Tennessee residents.
Edscholar Scholarship
Awarded to incoming freshmen who are Tennessee residents. Applicants must have a composite score of 25 or higher on the ACT (1130 or higher on the SAT) and a minimum high school GPA of 3.5. Applicants must have some financial need as demonstrated by the FASFA and present a record of outstanding community service, leadership and academic achievements. Applicants must complete an Edscholar Scholarship application, which requires a 250-word essay and two letters of recommendation. The application may be found at www.edsouth.org or www.edamerica.org. Do not use the regular ETSU scholarship application.
Wiley and Clara Arnold Estep Memorial Scholarship
An annual nonrenewable award for graduates of Johnson County, TN and Carter County, TN high schools. The recipient must be a first semester junior at ETSU. Selection based primarily on financial need.
ETSU Family Scholarship
For dependents of full-time, permanent ETSU employees. Financial need considered.
The ETSU Reentry Student Scholarship
To further support students who wish to reenter the job market through
academic preparation while being primary caretakers for their households.
Apply by March 1 of each year. Applications are available in the Adult,
Commuter, and Transfer Office.
ETSU Retirees Association Scholarship
For entering freshmen or transfer students. Freshmen applicants must have a minimum 3.2 GPA and a composite score of at least 26 on the ACT. Transfer applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicants must demonstrate leadership skills and potential for future success. Financial need considered.
The ETSU/UT at Kingsport Award for Academic Excellence
An award to cover the amount of tuition given each fall and spring to a part-time undergraduate student of ETSU/UT at Kingsport earning the highest grade point average for the previous two academic semesters. Apply to the ETSU/UT at Kingsport Center.
Elizabethton Rotary Club Scholarship
For deserving Carter County residents attending East Tennessee State University. Applicants must have attended Elizabethton or a Carter County High School for at least two years. Freshmen, transfers, and continuing students must have a minimum 2.5 GPA. Financial need is considered.
Harry O. Fine Scholarship
For entering freshmen who are Elizabethton High School graduates. Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and have participated in interscholastic athletics for at least three years or been a cheerleader for two years. Financial need is considered.
First Horizon National Bank Scholarship
For employees’ dependents of First Horizon National (First Tennessee) Bank. High school students
must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and 21 ACT or 970 SAT. Do not submit regular ETSU scholarship

Jonnie Melissa Graybeal Memorial Scholarship
For juniors or seniors in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program. Students must be full-time
and have earned a gpa of 3.0 or higher. The award will be made to the student with the highest
demonstrated financial need.
Margaret Campbell Flanary Scholarship
Established in 1974 by an endowment from the estate of Mrs. Flanary. For needy students from Sullivan and Washington Counties, TN.

Ira M. Gambill Medical Education Trust
Scholarships awarded to graduates of Johnson County High School, Mountain City, Tenn. Apply to the principal of Johnson County High School.
George H. Garrett Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to freshmen from the Tri-Cities area of East Tennessee. Recipients may apply for renewal in future years. Applicants should have demonstrated financial need and demonstrate ability, character, and scholastic performance.
Buford J. and Mary Jane Goldstein Scholarship
Awarded to full time students pursuing a bachelor's degree with demonstrated financial need. Applicants must have a 2.5 minimum high school or college cumulative GPA.
Greene County / Greeneville Scholarship
Awarded to rising juniors or seniors with a minimum GPA of 2.5. Applicants must be residents of Greene County and preference will be given to students who are enrolled in, or have completed previous coursework at the ETSU Greeneville Center. Preference will be given to students with demonstrated financial need.
Ben and Jeanne Greene Family Scholarship
In memory of the Greene's son, Benny. For undergraduate and graduate students from Blount County, TN. A 2.8 GPA is required. Financial need is considered.
Robert F. Hardin and Yevette Grindstaff Hannen Scholarship
For the graduating seniors with the highest GPAs at Elizabethton High School, Unaka High School, and Hampton High School, Carter County, TN, planning to attend ETSU. Apply to the Principal's Office, Elizabethton High School, Unaka High School, or Hampton High School.
Harrell Educational Fund
For graduating students from Volunteer High School in Hawkins County, TN, who would not otherwise be able to attend college. The maximum award is $1,000 per year. Students must maintain a 2.0 GPA to be eligible to reapply. Apply to Volunteer High School or the Trust Department of AmSouth Bank, Kingsport, Tenn.
Edna Harrison Family Scholarship
Entering freshmen, undergraduate, and graduate students with a minimum 3.0 GPA and demonstrating good character and promise for future career and professional achievement.
Heritage Federal Scholarship
Awarded to undergraduate and graduate students. A 2.5 GPA is required. First priority is given to students who are dependents or employees of Heritage Federal. Second priority is to College of Business and Technology students whose primary residence is in the primary marketing area of Heritage Federal.
The Jardin Zinc Products Scholarship
For Greene County High School graduates who are employees of, or dependents of an employee of, Jardin Zinc Products with a 2.5 GPA and financial need.
Aubrey Hunter Jobe Memorial Scholarship
In memory of Aubrey Hunter Jobe, established by his family and friends. For entering freshmen who are graduates of Northside High School, Roanoke County, VA. Selection is based on leadership, participation in school activities, and academics.
Johnson City Lions Club Memorial Scholarship
For disabled students, primarily those with a vision or hearing disability, or a junior, senior, or a graduate student preparing for a career working with the disabled. Recipient must have documented financial need.
The Edward D. Jones Investments Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to entering freshmen from Carter, Sullivan, and Washington Counties in Tennessee. High school principal or guidance counselor must nominate student. Applications are mailed to the high school and should be submitted to the ETSU Scholarship Office by March 1. The nominee must have a minimum of a 3.3 GPA or a 26 on the ACT.
J. C. Kensinger Memorial Scholarship
For residents of Hawkins County, TN who graduated from a high school in Hawkins County. For entering students or currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate students. A GPA of 3.0 is required.
Bill and Lynne Stamm Kovach Scholarship
For deserving and needy undergraduate students. Must demonstrate potential for academic success and have documented financial need. Incoming freshmen must have minimum 2.5 GPA and 24 ACT or above; currently enrolled students must have 3.0 GPA.
Pearl Sue Lady
An award to cover the amount of tuition given each fall and spring to a full-time undergraduate student of ETSU at Kingsport. The award is based on both financial need and grade point average. Apply to ETSU at Kingsport

Stewart McCorkle Education Assistance Award
An award to cover the amount of tuition until the student graduates or for six years, whichever occurs first. The award is for an undergraduate, part-time student not eligible for federal financial aid. Apply to ETSU at Kingsport.
McInturff TN/VA Scholars Award
An award to a TN/VA Scholar attending ETSU at Kingsport. Apply to ETSU at Kingsport.
Minifibers, Inc. Scholarship
This university scholarship is awarded to students from Southwest Virginia or Northwest Tennessee with a minimum high school or college GPA of 2.5 and plans and potential for graduating from ETSU.
The Charles and Martha Montgomery Scholarship
The Charles and Martha Montgomery Scholarship Endowment is awarded to full-time undergraduate or graduate students with a 2.7 minimum GPA. Preference is given to students from Northeast Tennessee, Southwest Virginia, Western North Carolina, and Eastern Kentucky. Financial need is considered.
Giles W. Morrill Memorial Scholarship
Priority is given to residents of Unicoi County, TN; specifically to residents of Flag Pond, Rocky Ford, Shallow Ford, the south end of Sandy Bottom up to Sam's Gap. Applicants must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Preference is given to students with demonstrated financial need.
Mountain City Rotary Club Scholarship
For graduates of Johnson County High School (with at least two years of attendance at the school) with a minimum 2.5 GPA and demonstrated potential for successfully completing college and having a successful career.
Muse-Moody-Holloway Scholarship
For an outstanding graduate of Johnson County High School, Mountain City, TN. Apply to the Guidance Counselor at Johnson County High.
Nebraska Book Scholarship
For full-time or part-time, undergraduate or graduate students. Documented financial need is required.
Non-Traditional Student Scholarship
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age or older. Applicants should be other than typical freshmen entering college directly from high school and be upgrading career skills on a part-time or full-time basis. Recipients must have documented financial need.
North American Rayon Corp. Scholarship.
Established for immediate descendents of the company. After that, priority will be given to students living in Carter County. Students must have a 2.8 GPA and financial need. A historical research project on the Corporation must be completed with no ore than 10 hours of research.
Public Performance Scholarships for Out-of-State Students
For entering undergraduate and graduate students who are talented performers and who would represent ETSU well in its various performing venues. The scholarship is awarded in an amount equivalent to the out-of-state fee. Recipients are required to participate in public performances as determined by their particular performance area. These areas are: Art, Bluegrass, Broadcasting, Digital Media, Gospel Choir, Music, Theatre, and Storytelling. James H. Quillen Scholarship Endowment
A scholarship established by the late Congressman James H. ("Jimmy") Quillen to provide financial assistance to deserving undergraduate and graduate students. Preference will be given to applicants from the following counties in Tennessee: Carter, Clairborne, Cocke, Grainger, Greene, Hamblen, Hancock, Hawkins, Jefferson, Johnson, Knox, Sevier, Sullivan, Unicoi, and Washington. Students must have demonstrated financial need. Incoming freshmen applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher and an ACT score of 19 or higher (or comparable SAT score). Graduate, transfer and currently enrolled students must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applicants must demonstrate achievement in one or more of these areas: scholastic endeavors, school and community leadership, volunteer services and activities, other extracurricular activities, or work experience. Recipients shall be known as "Quillen Scholars".Applicants must complete a James H. Quillen Scholarship Endowment application. The form can be found at http://www.etsu.edu/scholarships/forms.asp . Roan Scholars Leadership Endowment
The Roan Scholars Leadership Program awards four full scholarships that cover the cost of tuition, room, meals and a book allowance. The scholarship is renewable on a yearly basis for four years, based on academic performance. The purpose of the scholarship is to identify students with strong leadership potential, provide well-designed leadership development opportunities during their college experience, and prepare the students to be future community leaders. Students may not apply directly to this program. Selected high schools are invited to nominate the school's most outstanding student leader(s). For entering freshmen and transfer students from the Southwest Virginia counties of Buchanan, Dickenson Lee, Russell, Scott, Washington, and Wise. Based on need and academic ability. Current ETSU students are not eligible.
Tetrick – Oakley Scholarship
Established by Heritage Family Funeral Homes with priority to dependents of employees of Tetrick-Oakley Funeral Homes and residents of their service areas. A GPA of 2.8 is required. Financial need is considered.
