ETSU SGA Presents Billy Currington  for Welcome Week Outdoor Concert on August 27, 2016!

Country music star Billy Currington has scored nine No.1 singles since his debut in country music. This Welcome Week Major Concert, sponsored by ETSU’s Student Government Association, begins at 7:30 p.m. on the lawn of ETSU’s Wayne G. Basler Center for Physical Activity (CPA front yard).  Gates will open at 6:30 p.m., and the Ticket Office/Will Call opens at 4 p.m.

Current ETSU students may each receive one free ticket and purchase up to four discounted tickets ($15 each) with valid ID beginning Aug. 22.  Discounted tickets can be purchased only with cash or ID Bucs. ETSU staff and faculty may purchase up to four discounted tickets ($15 each) with valid ID beginning Aug. 24.  Public tickets go on sale for $25 each on Monday, Aug. 8, and may be purchased online only.  Day of show tickets will be $30 at the gate.  There will be no charge for parking at ETSU.  Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs, but no umbrellas or pets.  Please note that chairs and blankets will only be allowed in designated areas behind the standing stage crowd. Will Call opens at 4:00 pm with gates opening at 6:30 pm. All tickets are general admission to the open field and location will be first come first serve.

Advance Public Ticket Sales Will End at Midnight on August 26. Tickets will be available at the gate for $30 day of show.

SGA Fall 2016 Major Concert (Welcome Week) Event Information

• Concert is on ETSU campus at CPA Front Yard (Center for Physical Activity at 1244 Jack Vest Drive, Johnson City, TN).

• Inclement weather location will be ETSU Mini-Dome.

• There will be no charge for parking at ETSU.

• Concert at 7:30 pm on Saturday August 27, 2016. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. Will Call / Ticket Office opens at 4:00 pm.

• All ages. Everyone must have ticket to enter.

• Current ETSU students get 1 free ticket and may purchase up to 4 discounted tickets for $15 each with valid ETSU I.D. August 22 – August 27, 2016 in the D.P. Culp Center at the 2nd floor information desk.

• Staff & faculty may purchase up to 4 discounted tickets for $15 each with valid I.D. August 24 – August 27, 2016, in the D.P. Culp Center at the 2nd floor information desk.

• Public tickets may be purchased online only for $25. Day of show tickets will be $30 at gate.

• Ticket will be general admission – no seating for outdoor concert (bring blankets or chair, but no umbrellas).

• Concessions and merchandise will be available at the event with cash sales only.

• The following WILL NOT be allowed inside the venue and WILL NOT be returned if confiscated (there will be pat downs and bag checks): Video/Recording devices (no photography or recording is allowed), alcohol or other drugs, weapons, fireworks, outside food and/or drinks, containers of any kind, umbrellas, backpacks, extra-large handbags or strollers. • No Re-entry will be allowed! If you leave, you will not be allowed back in.

 Every year, the Student Government Association sponsors major concerts on the ETSU main campus.

These events are held inside the Mountain States Health Alliance Athletic Center (Mini-Dome) or at Freedom Hall Civic Center but have occasionally been held outside.

The SGA Secretary of External Affairs chairs the ETSU Concert Committee. This committee is responsible for the planning, advertising, ticket distribution, set-up, staffing, and production of all the SGA major events.
