Open-Enrollment Workshops
Each semester, Academic Technology Services offers dozens of workshops designed to provide participants training with the technology they need to work successfully in a twenty-first century university environment. From Microsoft Office applications to the D2L course management system, from web design to digital media creation, from multimedia classroom training to teaching online, we most likely offer what you have been looking for. If not, let us know what you would like to see us offer, and if demand warrants, we will create a workshop specifically on that topic, or suggest other ways that we can help you receive the training you need (such as one-on-one or cohort training, see below.)
At the beginning of each semester we post a list of the upcoming workshops on the ETSU Calendar website. Throughout the semester we may add new workshops to the calendar as they are needed so check back often, or subscribe through the PlanIt calendar to receive notifications via email.
Our workshops are intended primarily for faculty and staff. However, graduate students with teaching responsibilities and those working on projects for faculty mentors may also take the workshops when space permits. While we try to offer enough workshops to satisfy demand, in the event that a workshop is filled beyond capacity graduate students may be required to yield their spots to faculty or staff.

One on One and Cohort Workshops
Sometimes our workshop schedule just doesn’t fit with your schedule. Well, we'll come to you! One on once and cohort workshops can be scheduled at your location or in our lab, and can be specialized for you or your group. The cohort workshop does not need to be on topics that we offer in open-enrollment workshops.
Cohort training is a great way for departments to keep their members current on new technology. Tell us what you would like to know!
Multimedia Classroom Training
Most classrooms at ETSU are now Multimedia Classrooms, which are state-of-the-art facilities with access to equipment to deliver multimedia content.
ATS provides training for these rooms and serves as a liaison between the faculty, the technicians, and the planners who design and implement the rooms. ATS offers multiple sessions of Multimedia Classroom Training in the weeks preceding each semester. Individualized or small group training can also be arranged at other times convenient to you.
