"A Week of Music Celebration"

Hear all about "A Week of Musical Celebration" by visiting WJCW-AM Talk Radio and listening to an interview with Dr. Frank Grzych, Chair, Department of Music. The concerts taking place during the week of October 10 - 15 are all part of ETSU's Centennial Celebration - a year long commemoration of the 100th anniversary of our great school.  On October 2, 1911, ETSU opened its doors to 29 students as the East Tennessee State Normal School.  In December of that same year the Department of Music was established.  Elma Lillian Rankin taught vocal music and was the librarian, while Margaret Hodge Wright taught instrumental music.  Listen to the radio interview by clicking [here].
