Medical Mystery Home
Mystery of the Week is designed to help students,
residents, and physicians in practice build upon their knowledge of
differential diagnosis and clinical skills and to apply this
knowledge at the bedside. Each week a new case is presented along
with the answer to last weeks case.
This site differs from others in that the mystery cases are
presented in a realistic form - one that practicing physicians and
medical students actually encounter on a day-to-day basis. Hence,
except for
avatar mystery cases,
there are no multiple choice questions; rather, the participant
must use the history and/or physical findings provided with each
case to conclude a diagnosis.
The James H. Quillen College of Medicine, East Tennessee State
University, is accredited by the Accreditation Council for
Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical
education for physicians.
