Application Deadline:  February 1 st


Admission Requirements:

  1. Cumulative GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale for the last two years of undergraduate study.
  2. Submission of quantitative, qualitative, and analytical writing GRE scores.
  3. At least 8 credit hours in lab sciences (chemistry, biology, or physics).
  4. At least six credit hours of college level mathematics of which three hours must be statistics.
  5. At least six credit hours of of behavioral and or social sciences such as abnormal, developmental, and/or experimental psychology, sociology or anthropology. 


Application Process:

  1. Fill out online application or request a paper application from the graduate school by calling (423) 439-4221. Indicate on the application whether you want to be considered for a Graduate Assistantship or Tuition Scholarship.
  2. Pay $35 application fee.
  3. Send GRE scores from ETS.  The ETSU institution code is 1198.
  4. Send official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended.

  5. Three letters of recommendation sent in a sealed envelope with the signature of the recommender on the seal. Recommendation form can be filled out but is not required.

  6. Personal Statement (included in online application).
  7. Interview (Will be scheduled after review of all applications.)
  8. If admitted prior to receiving undergraduate degree, an official transcript showing degree awarded must be sent to the School of Graduate Studies.
