Video Transcript: Your Future in Family Medicine Starts Here
(Speaker: Dr. Jason Moore) Welcome to the Department of Family Medicine at East Tennessee State University's Quillen College of Medicine.
I'm Dr. Jason Moore, chair of the department.
For 50 years, our team has been committed to preparing compassionate physicians and providing high-quality care to the people of Appalachia and beyond.
Our mission is simple: to serve patients and communities through education, clinical excellence and scholarly work.
We train future physicians to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care for individuals and families of all ages, from maternity care to children to older adults.
Within our Family Medicine clinics, students and residents work alongside a team who offers everything from wellness visits and women's health to chronic disease management, osteopathic treatments, behavioral health and addiction medicine.
As part of the Quillen College of Medicine, we train medical students and residents who go on to practice in rural and underserved areas across the region as well as around the globe.
Our faculty are not only skilled clinicians but also mentors and researchers dedicated to improving health outcomes in East Tennessee.
With clinics in Johnson City, Bristol and Kingsport, we are proud to make primary care accessible throughout the region.
At ETSU Family Medicine, we believe in training future physicians to care for the whole person — mind, body and community.
Our comprehensive care team of physicians, pharmacists, psychologists and social workers allows us to do just that.
Thank you for learning more about us. We invite you to join our mission to advance health for all in Appalachia and beyond.
