ETSU welcomes the following employees who recently joined the university:
Thomas Bauer is an information security engineer in Information Technology Services. He was previously a security analyst with Affinity Tech Solutions.
Mark D. Christian is a police officer in Public Safety. Before coming to ETSU, he was a deputy in the Carter County Sheriff’s Office. He holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Bethel University.
Devin Clark is a dispatcher in Public Safety. He holds a B.S. degree in exercise science from ETSU.
Crystal Harrell is a career specialist with the Center for Community Outreach. She holds a B.S. degree from Gardner-Webb University.
Simon L. Harris is the head women’s basketball coach in Intercollegiate Athletics. He comes to ETSU from The Ohio State University, where he was an assistant coach. He holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from North Carolina State University. Click here to read more.
Robert King II is a digital content manager in the Office of Administration. He holds a B.S. degree in digital media from ETSU.
David Britt Lawson is an assistant athletic director for football performance in Intercollegiate Athletics. He was previously sports performance director for Olympic sports at the Virginia Military Institute. He holds an M.S. degree from West Virginia University.
Desmond L. Oliver is the head men’s basketball coach in Intercollegiate Athletics after serving six seasons as an assistant coach at the University of Tennessee. He holds a master’s degree in student personnel administration from Buffalo State. Click here to read more.
Lynn K. Parks is a simulation lab coordinator for the College of Nursing at ETSU at Sevierville. He holds a BSN degree from King University.
Kimberly Risner is a logistical technician for the Tennessee Early Childhood Training Alliance within the Center of Excellence for Early Childhood Learning and Development. Before coming to ETSU, she was a teacher in the Greeneville City Schools. She holds a master’s degree in early childhood education from ETSU.
Brian Smithpeters is a police officer in Public Safety.
Kyle Thompson is a technology development coordinator in Academic Technology Services. He was previously an information technology specialist at Auburn University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree.
Dr. Joshua Whitlock is an engineer in Information Technology Services after serving as assistant vice president for research, analytics and planning at Northeast State Community College. He holds an Ed.D. degree in educational leadership and policy analysis from ETSU.
Walter Pat Wolfe is an accounts payable manager in Business and Finance. He holds an MBA from ETSU.
Courtney Woods is an advisor for Talent Search within TRIO Programs. She holds a B.S. degree in human services from ETSU, where she is currently pursuing a master’s degree in human services.
Sally Kathryn Woodward is a registered nurse in the College of Nursing’s Nurse Family Partnership after serving as an RN in the Northeast Tennessee Nurse Family Partnership. She holds a BSN degree from ETSU.
