Elizabeth Hatch
Meet Elizabeth Hatch
As she made the trek from Tullahoma to Johnson City in the fall of 2014, Elizabeth Hatch passed at least six colleges. Nevertheless, she knew without a doubt East Tennessee State University was to be her new home.
Q: Why did you choose ETSU?
A: “I had never been to ETSU before, but when I visited here I fell in love with the campus and this town. When I started at ETSU, I knew, like maybe two people, but I made the decision to get involved so I joined intramurals and also rushed Sigma Kappa. I made some wonderful friends! I encourage everyone to find some organization or outlet to get involved.
Q: And speaking of outlets, you say CrossFit has been an amazing experience.
A: Yes! I started doing CrossFit over a year ago. One of the reasons I love it so much is that the routines change from day to day. The focus is on beating your record. And the group support is awesome. It helps me to push forward.
Q: Did you play sports in high school?
A: Oh yes. I was on the soccer team, the basketball team, and I ran cross country.
Q: Graduation is in the horizon – May 5th to be exact. What are your plans?
A: I declared business administration as my major. Initially, I was looking at finance, but I really like marketing. My dream would be to find a job working in sports marketing.
