What does it mean to be ETSU Tough? Campus and the Johnson City community have united behind a movement, a shared experience among fans. Sell-out crowds have gathered at Freedom Hall to watch the men’s basketball team take on Southern Conference opponents. Perhaps it was the feared sixth man, the fans, who helped boost the Bucs to 12 wins at home during regular season play.
Being ETSU Tough is both celebration and anticipation. As the Bucs revel in a remarkable season, we can’t help but to look forward to what comes next. The SoCon Tournament begins Thursday, March 1, at the U.S. Cellular Center in Asheville, North Carolina. The ETSU men’s basketball team will play the winner of game two on Saturday, March 3, at 6 p.m.
The ETSU women’s basketball team is also celebrating a stellar season. Both the men’s and women’s teams finished second in SoCon regular season play and Coach Brittney Ezell celebrated her 200th win on the road against Samford Feb. 22. The Bucs begin SoCon tournament play Thursday, March 1, at 3:30 p.m. against Wofford.
Be a part of the ETSU Tough movement. Share your spirit on the road in Asheville or watch live. To learn more about Bucs basketball post-season play, follow ETSU Athletics online and on social media.
