Under Construction
JOHNSON CITY – (March 7, 2018) The Amphitheatre on the East Tennessee State University campus will close this week as preparations continue for the upcoming renovation of the D.P. Culp University Center.
The open area at the Amphitheatre will be used as a construction laydown area for BurWil Construction, who is overseeing the project. A fence will be placed around the perimeter of the laydown area.
At this time the sidewalk between the Amphitheatre and Nicks Hall will remain open. The outdoor ramp leading to the second floor of the Culp Center will also be accessible.
The $45 million renovation of the Culp Center is expected to reach completion by the start of the spring 2020 semester. The architectural design is provided by Beeson, Lusk & Street and Moody Nolan.
