Andrea Gibson
JOHNSON CITY – “An Evening with Andrea Gibson,” a spoken-word concert featuring the first winner of the Women’s World Poetry Slam, will be held at East Tennessee State University on Wednesday, March 21, at 7 p.m. in the D.P. Culp University Center ballroom.
This free public event is sponsored by ETSU’s Multicultural Center as part of the 2018 Student Government Association Civility Series, “Step Into Civility.”
Gibson has headlined performance venues from coast to coast with readings on war, class, gender, bullying, sexuality, love, spirituality and other topics, and has been featured on the BBC, Air America, C-SPAN and Free Speech TV.
Gibson has released a fifth full-length album, “Flower Boy,” and a second book, “The Madness Vase.”
