'A Choral Journey'
JOHNSON CITY – The East Tennessee State University Choirs will conclude their 2017-18 concert season with a performance that features a collaboration with the university’s new Chamber Orchestra.
This concert will be held Friday, April 20, at 7:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 105 S. Boone St.
The program includes a broad variety of genres and styles, performed by the ETSU Chorale and East Tennessee Belles women’s choir, conducted by Dr. Matthew Potterton, along with the BucsWorth men’s choir, conducted by Dr. Alan Stevens. Joining the choirs for the first time is the ETSU Chamber Orchestra, directed by Dr. David Kovac.
The program features Franz Schubert’s “Mass in G,” Benjamin Britten’s “Simple Symphony, Op. 3,” gospel and folk songs, and more.
Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students.
