Entrepreneurs' Club
JOHNSON CITY (Aug. 30, 2018) — The Entrepreneurs’ Club at East Tennessee State University will host guest speaker Dr. W. Andrew Clark on Monday, Sept. 10, at 5 p.m. in Sam Wilson Hall, room 322.
Clark is associate dean of research and clinical practice for ETSU’s College of Clinical and Rehabilitative Health Sciences. Prior to his time at ETSU, he had an 18-year career with Eastman Chemical Company, where he was active in research, technical service, sales and marketing as well as business administration. Clark earned a Ph.D. in nutrition from North Carolina State University and started his career at South Dakota State University as an assistant professor of dairy nutrition.
While serving as principal investigator for a National Institute of Health (NIH) research project with Yasoo Health, Clark became a co-inventor of AquADEKs, a vitamin supplement for patients with cystic fibrosis. He joined ETSU as an associate professor of entrepreneurship in the College of Business and Technology before transitioning to his current position.
Clark will discuss the process of innovating new products to meet identified needs that can be solved through nutrition. His talk is open to the public.
