clean energy documentary
JOHNSON CITY (Sept. 27, 2018) – The Department of Sustainability at East Tennessee State University in partnership with the Citizens’ Climate Lobby of Northeast Tennessee, will host a free screening of “Happening: A Clean Energy Revolution” on Wednesday, Oct. 3
The film follows James Redford’s personal journey into the dawn of the clean energy era as it creates jobs, turns profits and makes communities stronger and healthier across the United States. Audiences join Redford in discovering how clean energy works, what it means on a personal level and how unlikely entrepreneurs in communities from Georgetown, Texas, to Buffalo, New York, are pioneering clean energy solutions. Reaching well beyond a great story of technology and innovation, “Happening” explores issues of human resilience, social justice, embracing the future and finding hope for survival.
The screening will be held in Brown Hall auditorium, room 112, at ETSU. A reception with light refreshments and information on alternative energy will take place in the courtyard at Brown Hall at 5:30 p.m. The film will begin at 6 p.m. and a panel discussion with local energy experts will follow.
The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact the ETSU Department
