Ryan Fogg Recital
JOHNSON CITY – Pianist Dr. Ryan Fogg will perform in a Guest Artist Recital at East Tennessee State University on Friday, Sept. 28, at 7:30 p.m. in the Brown Hall auditorium.
In his recital, sponsored by the ETSU Department of Music, Fogg will perform Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue,” an audience favorite, and other works.
Fogg is an associate professor of music and director of keyboard studies at Carson-Newman University, where he has received a Teaching Excellence and Leadership Award and twice earned the Faculty Creativity Award. He holds bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in piano performance, which he earned at East Texas Baptist University, the University of Houston and the University of Texas at Austin, respectively.
Fogg maintains an active performing schedule and has presented solo recitals throughout the United States. In addition, he has collaborated with the Blair String Quartet, appeared as a concerto soloist with the Knoxville Wind Symphony and recorded new works by American composers through Albany Records.
Tickets for the recital are $15 for general admission, $10 for seniors and free for students with ID.
