TSBDC September Workshops
JOHNSON CITY (Sept. 5, 2018) — The Tennessee Small Business Development Center (TSBDC) at East Tennessee State University will hold workshops on two popular social media platforms - Instagram and LinkedIn - at the ETSU Innovation Laboratory, 2109 W. Market St.
On Thursday, Sept. 13, the TSBDC will host Instagram Stories, Hashtags, Engagement – What Businesses Need to Know, from 10-11 a.m. In addition to Instagram stories, the workshop will address the mystery behind hashtags and how to optimize Instagram to increase visibility with local audiences. Led by Valentina Escobar-Gonzalez, founder of Beyond Engagement – Social Media Solutions, the workshop will also cover how businesses can keep new followers engaged and optimize their current strategy. Participants should be able to log into their Instagram account the workshop begins. Cost is $30 per person and pre-registration is required.
Branding Yourself on LinkedIn will be presented by marketing consultant Cindy Hagemann on Tuesday, Sept. 18, from 9-10:30 a.m. The workshop will focus on proper personal branding techniques. Attendees are encouraged to bring laptops to follow along and improve their LinkedIn profiles. Hagemann has been training business professionals and college students how to utilize the benefits of LinkedIn since 2008. Cost is $25 per person and pre-registration is required.
