Crypto Facts and Future
JOHNSON CITY (Oct. 4, 2018) – Symply Data Centers, an affiliate member of the Innovation Lab (iLab) at East Tennessee State University, is hosting a first of its kind event on Saturday, Oct. 13.
Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies along with the foundation Blockchain technology have been described as the next generation of internet technology. “Crypto – Facts and Future” is a one-day conference bringing the best and brightest minds from across the region, state, nation and international community together to discuss the projected future of this technology.
John Cannon, president of Symply Data Centers, stated, “last year Bitcoin was the second most searched word on Google.”
Cannon will co-present “Cryptocurrency Mining” alongside Turkish businessman Murat Beşkök. Other co-presenters at the conference include Dr. Audrey Depelteau, director of the ETSU’s Innovation Lab, and Ashonzay Matlock Jr, a Blockchain and cryptocurrency coach, discussing “Jobs of the Future.” Nashville’s Grammy award-winning music producer and entrepreneur Reid Shippen will give the keynote address. A networking reception will follow the conference with entertainment provided by Alex Johnson, the Crypto Magician.
Depelteau said she is looking forward to the “international-meets-local” component of the conference, with other speakers hailing from Africa, Germany, Kingsport, Washington, D.C. and Eastman Chemical Company, which has a global presence.
