Entrepreneurs' Club
JOHNSON CITY (Oct. 15, 2018) — Guest speaker Mary Ellen Miller will present “Using the R-PIE process in school, work and life” at East Tennessee State University’s Entrepreneurs’ Club meeting on Monday, Oct. 22, at 5 p.m. in Sam Wilson Hall, room 322.
Miller, known as “Mel” to her colleagues, is a full time public relations contractor for Tennessee Valley Authority, working on communications strategy and tactics for the Boone Dam project. She recently attained accreditation in public relations or APR, a credential held by only two percent of all public relations professionals. She is the only APR-accredited professional in the Tri-Cities.
She will discuss the public relations R-PIE (research, planning, implementation and evaluation) process as learned in her APR studies. Her talk is free and open to the public.
For many years, Miller has provided mentorship and internships for ETSU public relations majors and continues to sponsor the MarketingMel scholarship in the Department of Media and Communications.
