Tailgate Concert
JOHNSON CITY – Folk Soul Revival will perform at East Tennessee State University in a tailgate concert on Saturday, Oct. 6, in conjunction with the university’s Homecoming festivities.
The free public concert will take place at 1:30 p.m. at the Pepsi/Buctainment stage in parking lot 21 behind Warf-Pickel Hall.
Formed in Southwest Virginia in 2008, Folk Soul Revival has spent a decade growing a wide audience both at home and on the road. The band has become a regular regional presence at the Carter Family Fold, FloydFest and the Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion. The “road warriors” log roughly 100 shows a year and have shared shows with Dr. Ralph Stanley, Old Crow Medicine Show, Jason Isbell, Eric Church and others.
Prior to Folk Soul Revival’s performance, local band Wyldeheart will take the stage at noon.
Parking in lot 21 is limited to Game Day Parking Pass holders, but the area is open to pedestrian access.
