Trot-or-Treat 3K
JOHNSON CITY (Oct. 23, 2018) – East Tennessee State University’s Department of Physical Therapy invites area residents to dress up and get out to race in celebration of Halloween during a Trot-or-Treat 3K Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, Oct. 27, at 9 a.m.
Check-in for this race, formerly known as the Zombie Run, opens at 7 a.m. at Tri-Hall Field behind Governors, Centennial and Davis residence halls. The race route will be half on campus roads and half on the University Woods trails behind campus.
“We’ve changed the theme this year from Zombie Run to Trot-or-Treat to make it more kid-friendly,” said Dr. Trish King, professor and chair of the ETSU Department of Physical Therapy. “We wanted to make it more fun and less scary – but still scary enough – in hopes that more people would bring kids.”
Registration is $25 for adults, $15 for college students and youth ages 10-18, and free for children through age 9. Proceeds will go toward the Marquette Challenge, a non-profit fundraiser in support of continuing evidence-based research and education in the field of Physical Therapy.
