A Classic Mystery!

JOHNSON CITY – (November 5, 2018) The world’s most famous sleuth will tackle one of his greatest cases as East Tennessee State University’s Department of Theatre and Dance presents “Ken Ludwig’s Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery,” Nov. 15-18.

Performances will be Thursday, Friday and Saturday (Nov. 15-17) at 7:30 p.m. and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 18, all in the Bud Frank Theatre.  Two school performances are also scheduled.

In this new adaptation of the Arthur Conan Doyle classic, Sherlock Holmes, played by ETSU student Charles Clark, and his sidekick Dr. Watson, portrayed by Luke Walker, are called into a case involving the male heirs of the Baskerville line who are being murdered one by one.  Can the detective solve the case before another male heir falls victim to the curse?

Joining Clark and Walker on stage are fellow ETSU students Gabe Felty, Kaleb Stone and Callie Dowd who play approximately three dozen roles between them.  Rounding out the cast are Rachel Lawson, Madison Phillips, Abigail Arnett and James Maines.

The show is directed by ETSU faculty member Bobby Funk.  The creative team includes Jonathon Taylor, scenic designer; Beth Skinner, costume designer; Melissa Shafer, lighting designer; Zach Olsen, technical director; Ashton Bishop, stage manager; Alex White, assistant stage manager; Ellie Burnett, wardrobe supervisor; Raven Ramirez, lighting technician; Kim Ireson, audio technician; Jessica Richardson, assistant costume designer; Matthew Stevens, assistant lighting designer; Gracie Fulghum, Kenny Tyler Mitchell, Clara Roller and Izzy Hodgson, wardrobe assistants; and Joe Clark, Ben Patterson, Zander Bennett and Alex Hennage, production assistants.
