Entrepreneurs' Club
JOHNSON CITY (Nov. 6, 2018) — The Entrepreneurs’ Club at East Tennessee State University will welcome guest speaker Louie Gump at its meeting on Monday, Nov. 12, at 5 p.m. in Sam Wilson Hall, room 322.
The co-founder of East Tennessee Hospice (first Hospice in Johnson City) and Hands-On Museum will present “Nifty Nuggets about Leadership.” His talk is free and open to the public.
Gump is a native of Johnson City and was a Morehead-Cain Scholar at his alma mater, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After serving two years in the U.S. Navy as a destroyer officer, he returned to Johnson City to work with family finance businesses and several years later they acquired, expanded and sold a local pharmaceutical distribution company. After serving as president of a public company subsidiary, Gump started Impact Management and is actively involved in the entrepreneurial sector.
In addition to being the Founder of the Roan Scholars Leadership Program at ETSU and a member of its Steering Committee, Gump is also a member of both the Junior Achievement the ETSU College of Business and Technology Halls of Fame, as well as the Bank of Tennessee Board of Directors.
