'Tis the Season

JOHNSON CITY – East Tennessee State University’s Wind Ensemble and Concert Band will perform in concert on Tuesday, Nov. 20, at 7:30 p.m. in Milligan College’s Seeger Chapel.

In “‘Tis the Season,” each ensemble will showcase concert programs that focus on yearly seasons, particularly Christmas.  Pieces include “Variants on a Medieval Tune” by Norman Dello Joio, “October” by Eric Whitacre and “Lincolnshire Posy” by Percy Grainger.

The Wind Ensemble is conducted by Dr. Christian Zembower, professor and director of bands in the ETSU Department of Music.  The Concert Band is conducted by Dr. Joe D. Moore, assistant professor and director of athletic bands for ETSU.

The concert is free and open to the public.
