One of the most anticipated spring trips is when sophomore students visit High Point,
NC to experience the Spring Furniture Market. High Point Market is the largest furnishings
trade show in the world! Students are given tours of several of the vendors showrooms
and are given time to explore on their own the 11.5 million square feet of vendor
spaces. Lorraine Hayes, Showroom manager of Braxton-Culler, gave the students an
extended tour of their products and treated them to lunch. Styles trending include
industrial and like last year more 1980′s acrylic & chrome. Needless to say everyone
was exhausted but came away with a new understanding of a portion of the design industry.
