Appalachian Student Research Forum 2016

Appalachian Student Research Forum

The 2016 Appalachian Student Research forum provided a regionwideopportunity for faculty and students to showcase theirresearch accomplishments. Faculty, staff, students, and recentalumni in our College were part of 19 oral presentations and 47poster presentations, representing about a quarter of allpresentations in the Forum! Perhaps even more impressively, 32faculty and/or staff in the College and 61 students or recent alumniwere part of one or more oral or poster presentations.

Of 53 awards presented, College of Public Health faculty and/orstudents received seven first place awards and six second placeawards.

An event like the ASRF relies extensively on volunteer support. Special thanks to Ranjan Chakraborty for serving on the Task Force, and the 11 faculty and staffwho served as judges (page 4 of the Program Book). A list of the winners and more information about the Forum are available in this document. Photos of the events are posted at this link.
