Dr. Haun is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Healthcare Administration and Informatics at Samford University.
“As a two-time graduate of our department and college, we are very proud of Dr. Haun and her commitment to educating the next generation of public health and health care professionals,” said Dr. Amal Khoury, Chair of the Department of Health Services Management and Policy. “Dr. Haun’s focus on a student-centered approach in both her teaching and service activities is palpable. She cares deeply not only about student knowledge and skills but importantly about their overall success and well-being.”
Dr. Haun will be formally recognized at AUPHA’s Annual Awards Presentation held on June 9, 2022, in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA) is a global network of colleges, universities, faculty, individuals, and organizations dedicated to the improvement of healthcare delivery through excellence in healthcare management and policy education.
The Scholarship was established in the fall of 2019 to create an endowment for a faculty scholarship at an AUPHA member program, with the intent of creating a durable legacy in support of quality healthcare management education. The scholarship is aimed at future educational leaders by giving them recognition and financial support at an early stage of their academic career. The Scholarship is named after former AUPHA President and CEO, Gerald L. Glandon, PhD.
“It’s wonderful to see this commitment and potential recognized at this high level,” continued Dr. Khoury. “I have full confidence that Courtney will leverage this award to its full potential to advance her teaching effectiveness and benefit her students in meaningful ways.”
