Liang Wang Receives Leadership and Service Award from NACSN

 

Dr. Liang Wang

Dr. Liang Wang, Assistant Professor in the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology in the College of Public Health, is the recipient of the 2016 North American Chinese Society for Nutrition (NACSN) Outstanding Leadership and Service Award.

Dr. Wang became involved in the NACSN due to his research interests in obesity and nutrition. He is the Chair of the Webinar Committee, which requires him to organize a guest lecturer for the monthly webinars. He is also the Chair of the Public Relationship Committee and co-editor for the newsletter. This newsletter allows members of the society to share their research topics and facilitates collaboration for nutrition research.

Dr. Wang’s research interests include obesity, health disparities, application of advanced statistical data analysis methods in epidemiologic research, non-communicable chronic diseases, maternal and child health.
