Dr. Liang Wang, Associate Professor in the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology of the College of Public Health at East Tennessee State University, was elected as the Director of Fundraising for the China Health Policy and Management Society for 2018-2020.  Dr. Wang previously served as Director of Public Relations from 2016-2018.

His election was announced at the second Biennial Conference of China Health Policy and Management Society at the Yale University School of Public Health, held May 11-13, 2018. The conference brought together 240 public health, economics and data science researchers, healthcare professionals, entrepreneurs, non-governmental organizations, government officials from the U.S., China, and other regions in the world for organized sessions, roundtables, and workshops centered on scholarly exchange and professional development.

This year marks the tenth anniversary of the society, a non-profit academic organization focused on the advancement and dissemination of health policy and healthcare management in China. Dr. Wang was invited to be an oral presentation session chair, committee member, and host of the anniversary celebration.

The event was co-hosted by the Yale School of Public Health, Yale Macmillan Center, Yale Institute for Global Health, and the Yale-China Association. More details can be found at www.chpams.org and https://publichealth.yale.edu/communications/News/article.aspx?id=17359.
